Rock and roll couple Robert Fripp and Toyah are again with one more eyebrow-raising cowl, and this week they’ve tackled Gap’s 1998 traditional “Superstar Pores and skin.”
Backed by hand-painted indicators declaring “Superstar Fripp” and “Hail Queen Courtney,” Fripp’s crunchy energy chords and Toyah’s operatic vocals handle to make “Superstar Pores and skin” sound lo-fi and further dramatic unexpectedly. Even higher, Toyah — at all times one for elaborate costumes — dons a pink gown that appears precisely like one thing Love herself would’ve worn in her Hollywood actress/pop star period. The clip ends with just a few healthful outtakes, the place Fripp punctuates each bum word with an impassioned “Bollocks!” Watch the entire grungy efficiency under.
Fripp and Toyah are the second stars to cowl Gap as of late, as Doja Cat not too long ago took on “Superstar Pores and skin” for a Taco Bell Tremendous Bowl business. Elsewhere within the couple’s Sunday Lunch music collection, they not too long ago coated Radiohead’s “Creep,” Neil Younger’s “Rockin’ within the Free World,” and The Black Keys’ “Lonely Boy.”
In the meantime, Queen Courtney not too long ago made headlines by sharing some optimistic experiences she’s had with Johnny Depp amid his ongoing defamation trial towards Amber Heard.
